Plain terms for a plain tool.
These terms cover your use of What If at trywhatif.com. Using the site means you accept them. They are written in plain language on purpose. If something is unclear, ask us on X.

1. What What If is
What If is software that answers one kind of question: “what happened in the past every time this condition held?” You describe a trade in your own words, the site turns it into rules you can read, and then counts how that trade would have gone on historical daily prices.
What If is not a broker, an exchange, a wallet or an investment adviser. It places no orders, holds no money and never asks for your keys or seed phrase. Nothing on the site is financial, legal or tax advice. The example questions are examples, not recommendations.
2. History is not a forecast
Every number on the site describes the past. Markets change, and the sample behind an answer is often small; the site says so when it is. Past results do not predict future ones. See the risks before you act on anything you read here.
3. You decide
The rules are drafted by an AI model from your words and can misread you. Read the “Understood” line before you trust an answer. Whatever you do with the answer, in any market, is your decision and your responsibility.
4. Who can use it
- You must be old enough to enter into these terms where you live.
- You are responsible for making sure that trading the products you ask about is legal for you.
5. Accounts and paper trading
You can sign in with an email or a wallet through Privy. Signing in with a wallet only proves the address is yours; it never gives us access to funds. Paper trades use paper money at real prices. Their results are simulated, they are not orders on any exchange, and we may reset paper balances if the product changes.
6. Fair use
The site is free within limits: a few questions a day without an account, more when you sign in, a cap per minute, and a daily budget for the AI model. When a limit is reached, the site says so and answers again the next day. Do not try to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or use it to harm others. We can limit access for anyone who does.
7. Things outside our control
What If depends on other services: price data from Binance and Hyperliquid, the AI model from Anthropic, and our hosting. They can go down or change, data can arrive late or contain errors, and What If itself can have bugs. The service is provided as it is, without guarantees. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses from decisions you make using the site, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us, which today is nothing.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. Using What If after a change means you accept the new terms.
